School Song

Origin

The school song was introduced to the student body by 3 girls who were running for cheerleader in 1951. They were Emily Provost, Donna Poteet, and Nancy Morrell. The BBHS school song was adapted from the school song of Donna Poteet’s old high school in Enid, Oklahoma.

Director, Oh Director

Here’s to Byrne High School. Great is her name.
Her team is fighting to uphold her fame.

We’ll all be true and loyal.

See her colors flying high above the rest
Green and white will prove ol’ BHS is best.
